Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for developing and optimizing continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of Saint-Gobain Omniseal Solutions' manufacturing facility in Garden Grove, CA.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Daily Communication: Provide expert guidance on molded and machined processes to drive process improvement through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Process Revalidation: Reduce cycle and set up times to the lowest possible without sacrificing part quality.
  • Training and Coordination: Assist in training supervisors, leads, operators, and maintenance staff in the safe and proper usage of equipment and tooling. Coordinate and train Process / Set-up technicians to improve OEE, and 5s.
  • Process Development: Develop the injection molding process for new tooling, including process and product monitoring, validation protocol (IQ, OQ, PQ), and molding machine parameters.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot quality issues, including dimensional issues, flash, burn areas, flow marks & bubbles, to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree - In Engineering (plastics, mechanical, industrial, et al); Required. 3+ years of Process Engineering experience within a Manufacturing Production Facility (including work within Machining Processes); Required. Hands-on Mechanical Aptitude and Problem Solving Experience, Required. Strong Communication & Leadership/Influence experience; Required. Experience within Injection Molding / Thermoplastic Polymers, Machining/Toolroom; Highly Preferred.

Our comprehensive Total Rewards package supports our employees' wellbeing and helps improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to $123,400 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,450 to $135,740. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
