We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at GKN Aerospace. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations within the Value Stream.

Your primary focus will be on providing day-to-day support to manufacturing operations, reviewing and disposing of non-conforming material, and leading improvements to eliminate customer escapes. You will also be responsible for developing and documenting manufacturing standard work instructions and implementing process improvements to reduce product defects and increase product throughput.

In addition, you will lead structure problem-solving projects linked to day-to-day manufacturing issues, demonstrating yield improvement. You will also be responsible for updating manufacturing documentation to maintain configuration control and managing Point of Introduction activities. Furthermore, you will ensure process compliance with any productivity improvements within the value stream and manage small capital and tooling projects within the value stream.

This role requires strong internal relationships with team members and other cross-functionally to support business objectives. You will also participate in risk assessments within the value stream and support actions that arise.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field, such as Physics, Chemistry, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. Additionally, you will have 8 years of professional manufacturing experience, with 3 years in a manufacturing engineering environment, including 1 year of experience in Statistical Process Controls, Mechanical Engineering Drawings, or Tool Design.

Preferred qualifications include experience in process control awareness, working with customer specifications, drawings, and standards, and obtaining/maintaining Security Clearance. You will also have demonstrable experience of practical problem-solving techniques, such as 5 whys, 8D, and DMAIC, as well as good reporting and communication skills on project status and progress.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $111,000 to $89,093.00.
