Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ADRC Specialist to join our team at Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support and guidance to individuals navigating the aging and disability network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist callers from our 5-county region in determining program eligibility for long-term care options and facilities.
  • Provide information and resources to help individuals make informed decisions about their care.
  • Work closely with COA staff to communicate consumer-related issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Stay up-to-date on COA programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care topics to provide accurate assistance.
  • Assist consumers in selecting the best Medicare D options and provide training or education to the community or staff on aging and disability resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a social service field or equivalent experience.
  • AIRS Certified or able to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • At least one year of experience in health care, community outreach, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and interviewing skills, with a tolerant and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and build cooperation among team members.
