Job Summary

This is a sales-oriented position responsible for providing quality guest service in ticket and concessions sales while maintaining the cleanliness of the theatre. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to multitask with ease.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage with Guests: Provide exceptional customer service, greet guests with a smile, and make eye contact.
  2. Sales and Promotions: Use suggestive sales techniques to inform guests of special promotions and savings.
  3. Concession Stand Operations: Efficiently complete sales transactions, accept all types of payment, and correctly make change.
  4. Cash and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate cash and inventory levels.
  5. Food Preparation: Assemble food items, such as popcorn, drinks, hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, etc.
  6. Theatre Checks: Conduct theatre checks and hardscape checks outside of the building.
  7. Crowd Control: Conduct crowd control and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  8. Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean inside and outside of the concession stand, maintain stock of concession supplies, and perform general cleaning of the theatre and lobby areas.
  9. MPAA Rating System: Enforce the MPAA rating system and ensure that guests are aware of the ratings.
Requirements
  1. Availability: Availability to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
  2. Regular Attendance: Regular and consistent attendance is required.
  3. Active Listening: Ability to actively listen, give full attention to what others are saying, and ask questions as appropriate.
  4. Effective Communication: Ability to effectively communicate in and comprehend English.
  5. Math Calculations: Ability to perform math calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
  6. Food Handlers Permit: Ability to obtain a food handlers permit is essential.
  7. Age and Background Check: Must be at least 18 years of age and complete a background check prior to hire or promotion.
Working Conditions
  1. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  2. Vision and Hearing: Ability to talk, see, and hear.
  3. Lifting: May occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary Description

The salary for this position is $17.00-$19.00 per hour.
