About the Position:
We are currently seeking a skilled Fund Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting operations within a rapidly expanding investment management organization. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and finalize general ledger entries for designated entities.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings.
- Collaborate with clients on investment valuations and updates throughout the fiscal year.
- Review and ensure timely completion of quarterly financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze special reports as needed for assigned entities.
- Finalize quarterly capital account statements.
- Conduct exit analyses and manage distribution planning.
- Lead the year-end audit process.
- Work closely with management accountants on budgets and quarterly reporting.
- Coordinate capital calls and distribution of financial reports to investors.
- Address inquiries from investors and investment managers promptly.
- Manage confirmation requests and responses to audit firms.
- Oversee tax return preparation and compliance with tax authorities.
- Ensure adherence to Registered Investment Advisor regulations.
- Maintain relationships with banking institutions and review compliance reports.
- Administer file retention policies effectively.
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new clients.
- Participate in fund formation activities, including economic modeling and fundraising.
- Assist in organizing the Investor Annual Meeting and Semi-Annual Call.
- Engage in additional special projects as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, hold a CPA or be in the process of obtaining one, and have a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership capacity. Exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.
