Client Services Associate

Availability: Monday through Saturday Required
Role Summary: The primary function of a Client Services Associate is to assist members in achieving their everyday financial objectives while providing exceptional service. This role involves executing standard account transactions, promoting various products and services to meet members' financial requirements, and addressing and resolving inquiries related to member accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
40% - Processes members' financial transactions efficiently.
30% - Promotes various deposit, loan, and convenience services tailored to individual member needs.
15% - Utilizes problem-solving skills to address member account inquiries and concerns.
10% - Executes other routine daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
5% - Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
Performance Indicators:
- Greets members and guests warmly, providing routine information about services and directing them to the appropriate department for specific inquiries. Ensures a friendly, professional, and accurate service experience for all members.
- Handles member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, wire transfers, and more. Sells various financial products such as gift cards and processes disputes for debit and credit cards.
- Identifies and fulfills the stated and unstated financial needs of members through effective communication, promoting suitable deposit, loan, and convenience services both in person and via other communication channels.
- Completes routine tasks, including maintaining cash drawer limits, verifying and balancing cash drawers, and assisting with cash shipments and orders.
- Addresses member inquiries and concerns promptly, researching account issues and providing timely, friendly, and accurate responses. Follows up as necessary.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the credit union, including security protocols and confidentiality standards.
- Follows established procedures for dual control.
- Performs various administrative tasks, including typing, filing, and answering phone calls promptly.
- Maintains a reliable record of attendance and punctuality.
- Engages in training and professional development activities to meet the standards set by the credit union, including attending relevant conferences and workshops.
Qualifications:
Experience: One to three years of relevant experience in customer service, cash handling, sales, banking, or financial services.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with members. Proficiency in operating a computer and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) are also required.
