Job Description

The Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine Inc is seeking a Perioperative Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support in the perioperative care setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Circulatory Duties: Assist anesthesia techs with induction, circulatory duties, and provide sterile assistance during procedures.
  • Scrub Nurse Duties: Provide sterile surgical assistance to surgeons, maintain a clean and organized instrument table, and accurately identify and hand off surgical instruments.
  • Post-operative Care: Update surgical case logs, maintain surgical travel sheets, enter surgical charges, and strip, clean, and disinfect ORs after each procedure.
  • Central Sterile Processing: Perform tasks related to central sterile processing, including organizing and maintaining surgical implant and disposable inventory.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in veterinary medicine or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, infection control protocols, and supply management practices.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

$80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package.
