Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Supervisor to join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for supervising and directing subordinate personnel, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct subordinate personnel, including technologists, PSAs, and administrative support staff.
  • Coordinate and oversee workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity, minimizing delays to patients.
  • Work with the MRI Manager to establish objectives and standards for patient care.
  • Evaluate quality of images and maintain quality assurance.
  • Supervise staff, set schedules, and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Collect data and contribute to the development of radiology policies, procedures, and departmental operating budgets.
  • Recommend new or changes to existing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor technical accuracy of films and direct retakes as necessary.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and equipment for efficient department operation.
  • Perform duties of a technologist as necessary, including scheduling patients, preparing exams, and reviewing patient charts.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or 1-3 years formal training in Radiologic Technology.
  • 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification within 1 year.
