Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Parking Manager/Supervisor, this Parking Representative will perform a variety of job functions within the Transportation Department. The primary job functions include valet, customer service ambassador, garage rover, traffic director, and parking enforcement officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act in accordance with departmental procedures and standards for the department's daily operations and procedures set forth in the Transportation Department Operations manual.
  • Act as an ambassador and/or greeter for Transportation programs and services as needed.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner with the public, faculty, staff, and co-workers and to function well under period of stress.
  • Demonstrated record of exceptional attendance, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 2-year valet and/or related parking industry work experience.
  • Valid California Driver's License and an excellent driving record required; no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses (applicants are required to present a current copy of their DMV record with their application/resume).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to operate manual, automatic, and electric vehicles in and out of tight parking spaces quickly and efficiently.
  • Possess basic computer skills for valet operations administrative duties.
