Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our dairy products through laboratory testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with good manufacturing, safety, food safety, and quality assurance practices.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and legible documentation in all formats of recordkeeping.
  • Sample Analysis: Gather, prepare, and analyze in-process, incoming, and finished products for analytical and microbiological components as required.
  • Environmental Sampling: Gather and analyze environmental samples such as sponges, air, and water.
  • Sample Submission: Submit samples to customers and outside testing labs as required.
  • Lab Preparation: Prepare agar and reagents for lab testing.
  • Quality Audits: Perform plant-wide quality audits and inspections to ensure all employees are complying with good manufacturing, safety, food safety, and quality assurance practices.
Requirements
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt effectively in a continually changing and demanding environment.
  • Communication: Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively to maintain high levels of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Preventative Control: Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for the Preventative Control - Cleaning and Sanitation Program.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience: Quality Control or Lab experience preferred.
Benefits
  • Competitive Pay: $19.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift premium.
  • Hiring Bonus: $2,000.
