Job Summary: InductiveHealth is seeking a skilled Data Onboarding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for onboarding stakeholders to send reportable disease data to public health. You will work closely with task leads and internal project managers to ensure successful onboarding implementation for assigned clients. Your expertise in HL7 messaging standards, including 2.5.1 ORU^R01 and ADT, will be crucial in performing quality assurance analysis on HL7 messages and coordinating fixes for message errors. You will also be responsible for understanding, documenting, and translating end-user and subject matter expert needs to technical requirements for system designers, developers, and technical architects. Additionally, you will work with technical staff to translate business requirements into functional requirements and specifications. Your analytical and problem-solving skills, including a creative and self-motivated mindset, will be essential in monitoring end-to-end data flow of multiple data sources and investigating anomalies. You will also assist in maintaining documentation pertaining to onboarding processes and deliverables.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in informatics, data, mathematics, or computer science related field
  • Experience in data integration including HL7 messaging standards, including 2.5.1 ORU^R01 and ADT
  • Ability to run basic SQL database queries
  • Natural problem solver and curious
  • Enjoys working directly with clients and end users
  • Has a positive attitude in-person and virtual
  • Experience in working with stakeholders to gather and interpret project-related information
  • Can effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • Has excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Can develop good working relationships with business sponsors, business partners, and technical staff
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including a creative and self-motivated mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master in Public Health (MPH)
  • Experience with electronic case reporting, including HL7 CDA
  • Experience with SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connections
  • Experience working with the NEDSS (National Electronic Disease Surveillance System) Base System, ESSENCE, and/or EpiTrax
