The Senior Loan Accountant is responsible for delivering financial insights to management by investigating and evaluating loan accounting and associated transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tasks such as maintaining schedules, compiling financial reports, reviewing loan accounting transactions, and supporting the month-end review and closing processes.
- Record entries in the general ledger and collaborate with management to analyze and implement process enhancements.
- Examine accounting reports, general ledgers, and details of accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and quickly adapt to accounting software.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting and analyzing data from the general ledger system.
- Create detailed spreadsheet reports for analysis.
- Address accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting relevant data.
- Engage in special projects as requested by management.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience in the mortgage sector is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.

Base pay is one component of our overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth as you develop within your role. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $95,000, influenced by individual factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
