We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Tyonek Native Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repair, and minor construction in the trades to ensure our facilities are maintained to meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Repair and Maintain Facilities Systems: Repair and maintain a variety of facilities systems, components, and structures, including building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, fire and life safety protection equipment/systems, sprinkler systems, sensors, and related hardware and software.
- Conduct Structural Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure they are safe and meet our standards.
- Access and Adjust Computerized Control Systems: Access and adjust computerized control systems, such as lighting and HVAC control systems.
- Perform Electronic Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs in our CMMS (Manager Plus) system.
- Respond to Customer Maintenance Needs: Respond to customer maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Track Facility Assets: Track and maintain accurate records of facility assets in our Manager Plus asset management software.
- Respond to Facility Emergencies: Respond to facility emergencies and closures due to inclement weather to ensure our facilities remain operational.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 6-10 years of experience in facilities maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Complex Life Safety and Fire Suppression Systems: Experience working with complex life safety and fire suppression systems.
- Experience Working in Aircraft Facilities: Experience working in aircraft facilities.
- Ability to Read Schematics and Building Drawings: Ability to read and understand schematics and building drawings.
- Able to Obtain SIDA Badge Clearance: Ability to obtain SIDA badge clearance through the airport.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software: Experience working with computerized maintenance management software, preferably Manager Plus.
- Ability to Utilize Mobile Devices: Ability to utilize mobile devices to complete work tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Software Suite: Experience working with Microsoft software suite.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Visual and Hearing Demands: Ability to see and hear in a variety of environments.
