Instrumentation Technician

Novaspect, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our Field Services team. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will work with our sales force and project teams to develop, deliver, and maintain state-of-the-art process control solutions for our industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and resolve customer process control instrumentation and equipment issues
- Troubleshoot failed instruments and equipment
- Develop solutions to resolve problems
- Install and replace instrumentation and equipment
- Start up process control instrumentation and equipment
- Verify and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment communications
- Inspect instrument wiring, power, and grounding
- Set up instruments with Hart 475 field communicator
- Work with onsite installation crew
- Install and calibrate flow measurement equipment
- Provide automation system design
- Manage onsite control project installation and startup activities
- Provide maintenance training
- Provide process control instrument and equipment phone support
- Respond to customer requests and inquiries
- Document services provided to customers
- Meet project team commitments and deadlines
- Technical degree or certification in electrical or instrumentation discipline
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation and instrumentation field
- Familiarity with Rosemont, Micro Motion, ROC, Floboss, Bettis, and Fisher
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs and/or ABB Systems
- Familiar with calibrating measurement instrumentation
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work with hand tools
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to stoop, crawl, and crouch while working on equipment
- Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day
- Ability to work in a loud industrial environment
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment with exposed moving parts
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to work with up to 480 volts
- Ability to drive for extended periods
