Job Summary

YAI is seeking a qualified Behavioral Specialist to oversee the implementation of the Intensive Behavioral Support Program (IBSP) and collaborate with the Administrator. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of developmental disabilities, working with adults/children with significant behaviors of concern, and experience training, coaching, and mentoring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of the IBSP and collaborate with the Administrator.
  • Provide supervision to RBTs and Lead RBTs, ensuring compliance with BACB guidelines.
  • Model positive behavior supports, person-centered practices, and trauma-informed care in their practice.
  • Utilize best practices when conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing IBSPs.
  • Use objectives to plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Employ a wide range of strategies for skill acquisition and generalization.
  • Complete annual clinical Performance Evaluations.
  • Meet regularly for supervision with RBTs and Lead RBTs and provide weekly/monthly updates on the IBSP.
  • Interface with the BCBA Director to ensure clinical needs are being addressed.
  • Attend and participate in weekly/monthly clinical reviews.

  • Experience training, coaching, and mentoring RBTs.
  • Exceptional communication and training skills.
  • Exceptional supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment.
