Job Overview

Position: Metal Fabrication Assistant

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Compensation: $15-$18/hr based on experience

Location: Galveston, TX

Required Experience: Minimum of 6 months relevant experience

Key Responsibilities of the Metal Fabrication Assistant:

  • Support senior personnel in sourcing and preparing materials for production.
  • Perform tasks such as grinding, bending, drilling, and cutting materials.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal manufacturing processes (e.g., presses, rollers, band-saws, shears).
  • Familiarity with quality control instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Basic understanding of shop mathematics and measurement techniques.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
