Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bishop, CA area. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing basic hygiene and nursing care, including administering prescribed medications and therapeutic treatments, as ordered by the physician.
- Collecting information regarding patient status and reporting the results to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) or RN in a timely manner.
- Providing patient education and accurately documenting care in the approved format, noting and carrying out physician's orders.
- Assisting with therapeutic measures and treatments, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing as ordered.
- Assisting the RN and PCP with clinic appointments, such as physical exams, minor surgeries, casting, and identifying minor illnesses.
- Participating in the training of patients in activities of daily living and assisting in routine treatments.
- Documenting in the patient health record the nursing care and treatment provided and the patient response to facilitate the continuity of care and communicate to other healthcare providers.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in a public or private institution. Clinical competencies must be current.
- A current and valid license issued by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider or American Red Cross (with AED).
