Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities:- Provide personalized care to clients, adhering to their individualized plans of care and promoting their dignity and independence.
- Monitor clients' vital signs and report any abnormal findings to ensure timely interventions.
- Administer medications, feedings, oxygen, and other treatments as needed, while documenting the results of these interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to complete routines and ensure seamless care delivery.
- Implement and maintain infection control policies, reporting any possible communicable diseases or infections to ensure a safe environment.
- Accurately document all nursing actions, communication, and progress towards established goals, ensuring timely reporting to relevant personnel.
- Order supplies, medications, and feedings as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure all client needs are met in accordance with physician instructions.
- Monitor incidents involving clients, completing incident reports in a timely and accurate manner, and notifying relevant personnel.
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and report any faulty equipment to the designated maintenance team.
- Current license as an LPN or LVN in good standing from the state(s) of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work in a home-like setting.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of individual service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs.
- Completion of post-secondary coursework to facilitate licensure as an LPN or LVN.
