JOB SUMMARY

The Delivery Operations Assistant is tasked with ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to clients while upholding a professional demeanor. This role involves utilizing preferred methods to execute duties efficiently and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unload and confirm all returned items with designated check-in personnel.
  • Securely pad, stack, and position items to prevent damage during transit.
  • Deliver and arrange merchandise at customer locations.
  • May operate a company vehicle to transport products as directed by the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Accurately count and distribute orders.
  • Assist Drivers in off-loading products to clients.
  • Capable of lifting up to 90 lbs. (Average case weight is 50 lbs.)
  • Load and unload the vehicle manually or with the aid of a hand truck or dolly.
  • Deliver food and related items by unloading from the trailer and transporting to specified areas.
  • Work overtime as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training.
  • Maintain punctuality and adhere to established work schedules and attendance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within ninety (90) days of employment to maintain active status.

Education

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent preferred.

Experience

  • Experience with two-wheel dollies.
  • Familiarity with equipment operations.

Professional Skills

  • Able to manage cash and keep track of merchandise.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. and climb in and out of the vehicle throughout the day.
