Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of contract documents, including detailed plans and specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic flow and pressure calculations for pipelines.
- Execute pump calculations and develop system curves for effective pump sizing.
- Provide engineering and design support for water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Prepare cost estimates for construction and design projects.
- Develop specifications tailored to specific projects.
- Perform engineering tasks in the planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
- Engage in project management, client relations, and business development for upcoming projects.
- Conduct site visits during design and construction phases to inspect facilities.
- Review construction shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with project design documents.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or NCEES equivalent.
- Experience or coursework in water and wastewater systems is advantageous.
- Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT) or the ability to complete it within the first six months.
- Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other design disciplines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Capability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and ArcGIS is a plus.
- Active participation in professional organizations such as AWWA, WEF, ASCE and involvement in committees is beneficial.
