Job Overview

VS Media is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our in-house legal department, you will provide critical support to our President and other senior executives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, trademark law, and litigation support. You will be responsible for updating contract templates, reviewing contracts across various departments, and mitigating legal risks. Additionally, you will oversee all aspects of the trademark lifecycle, including sending and responding to DMCA copyright infringement notices and filing WIPO actions when necessary.

As a Legal Assistant, you will also provide administrative support and act as a liaison between the company and counsel for litigation matters. You will ensure that all company operations adhere to relevant legal standards and regulations, and that all company sites and platforms meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Update existing contract templates and review contracts across various departments to mitigate legal risks and safeguard company interests.
  • Trademark Management: Oversee all aspects of the trademark lifecycle, including sending and responding to DMCA copyright infringement notices and filing WIPO actions when necessary.
  • Litigation Management: Provide administrative support and act as a liaison between the company and counsel for litigation matters.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all company operations adhere to relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Product Compliance: Ensure that all company sites and platforms meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage all company insurance policies, applications, and renewals.
  • Draft business and legal correspondence.
  • Manage and create standard corporate documents when needed.
  • Collaborate and assist with HR issues when appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Associate/Bachelor's degree in law or related field.
  • 5-10 years of legal administrative experience.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and editing various types of contracts.
  • Strong, clear, and concise business communication writing skills, including correct grammar and spelling.
  • Versatile business engagement: capable of engaging across various business domains.
  • Initiative and analytical skills: strong self-starter with the ability to think critically, manage tasks independently, and adapt to new legal and technological environments.
