Job Title: Personal Lines Account Manager

Higginbotham Insurance Agency, a leading independent insurance and financial services firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team in Fort Worth, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with producers and prospects to review and quote personal insurance policies
  • Prequalify and analyze clients' insurance needs, recommending coverage and preparing proposals to sell
  • Actively solicit increases in coverage or rounding out accounts to meet client needs
  • Educate clients about coverage limitations and document information in our computer system
  • Seek referrals from current clients to solicit new business prospects
  • Refer clients to our Benefits and Commercial Lines departments for new business opportunities
  • Conduct annual account reviews and recommend changes in coverage and markets to ensure high-quality coverage
  • Handle renewals and remarkets as needed, following our workflow
  • Assist clients with coverage changes and complete service requests
  • Inform clients of policy changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs
  • Generate documents and produce correspondence to satisfy client service requests
  • Handle or refer insured's questions and complaints
  • Maintain detailed customer records in our management systems
  • Maintain good working relations with underwriters
  • Work with our Accounting Department to reconcile company differences and accounting discrepancies
  • Follow up on reports required by management
  • Stay informed about industry information, new products, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current
  • Interact with others effectively, using good communication skills, cooperating positively, and providing information and guidance as needed
Requirements:
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently to accomplish established agency goals
  • Ability to work as a team player with a committed positive approach to working through adversity
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, necessary to communicate with clients, carriers, and prospects
  • Critical thinking skills with ability to use logic and reasoning to identify deficiencies or other concerns
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines
Experience and Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Property and Casualty Agent's license required
  • 3-5 years of experience in Personal Lines Account Management
  • Knowledge of carrier rating systems, preferred
  • Commitment to continuous learning

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds

  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
