  • Assist lead technicians with installation and maintenance of security systems, ensuring compliance with Skyline standards and local codes.
  • Install, terminate, and test Category 5e/6 and access control cabling, meeting Skyline standards and local codes.
  • Learn to program and troubleshoot CCTV and access control devices, including wireless device configurations and installations.
  • Develop expertise in reading job-related blueprints and drawings.
  • Practice workplace safety and provide daily feedback to the team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and accurately track travel time, on-site time, and lunch/breaks.
  • Take pictures and compile client notes as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience working with CCTV systems and/or access control systems.
  • Certifications in Genetec, Milestone, Identicard, and/or Galaxy preferred.
  • Current Maryland driver's license.
  • MSP Security license and/or DCJS Security License, preferred.
  • Well-versed in installing and configuring various lockets, including strikes, maglocks, IP/PoE locksets, and wireless devices.
  • Able to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics, as well as system architectures for multiple platforms.
  • Ability to proficiently use an electrical multimeter and basic, specialized, and powered hand tools.
  • Ability to work well independently and successfully delegate tasks and responsibilities to other team members.
  • General knowledge and a basic understanding of networks and computer systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Visio.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
