The Department of Radiation Oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a qualified Physicist to fill a full-time position. This role will encompass responsibilities across various clinics in the Indianapolis area and its neighboring communities. The department boasts a collaborative environment with a team of 11 clinical physicists, 14 radiation oncologists, and 3 dedicated researchers. Educational initiatives include a residency program and a Bachelor of Science degree in radiation therapy.

Position Overview:

  • Tenure-track opportunity at the assistant, associate, or full professor level.
  • The ideal candidate will engage in clinical services, contribute to quality improvement and research efforts, partake in student education, and uphold a commitment to diversity and the inclusion of underrepresented groups.
  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • The role includes exposure to 6 clinical sites, providing a broad spectrum of clinical experiences and access to a diverse patient demographic.
  • Numerous academic opportunities are available within the education and research domains.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in medical physics is required.
  • Candidates must be eligible to practice as a Physicist in Radiation Oncology and hold certification from the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or be in the process of completing a medical physics residency.
  • H1B visa sponsorship may be available.
