Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct bookkeeping, payroll, and general journal entries with precision and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls for all financial transactions.
  • Execute monthly general ledger account reconciliations and manage month-end closings.
  • Generate weekly cash flow reports to monitor financial health.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including entering data and ensuring proper documentation for payments.
  • Record daily sales and deposit activities accurately.
  • Compile and submit monthly sales tax reports.
  • Prepare and file annual 1099 forms and property tax returns.
  • Maintain intercompany accounts, fixed assets, and general ledger systems.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, HR, and payroll departments.
  • Work alongside external accountants to provide necessary information for annual tax return preparation and consulting needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of full-cycle accounting experience in the restaurant industry is required.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and familiar with restaurant Point of Sale systems.
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze financial and statistical data.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of cash management and budgeting principles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting monthly deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
