Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated, fast-paced, and hardworking individuals for the role of Quality Assurance Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality assurance within the electronics or aerospace sectors.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and direct activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits according to established schedules and procedures.
- Review and implement testing requirements for all products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Lead the testing center, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, including the creation of proper test programs and conducting mechanical/moisture testing.
- Facilitate AS9100 awareness training and implement processes as assigned by management.
- Perform detailed analysis of quality data to identify key issues and support problem-solving initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Material Review Board (MRB) and actively participate in dispositioning as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company procedures.
- Report any known or suspected nonconformance to the Quality Manager immediately.
- Continuously seek opportunities for performance improvement by establishing objectives, measuring progress, and reporting results.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Familiarity with standard quality tools.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Ability to read and understand military specifications and government contracts.
- Technical expertise to assist in diagnosing issues within the division.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- Hands-on inspection experience, with at least 3 years in aerospace cable assembly preferred.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 standards, with 5 years of experience in AS9100 Quality Systems preferred.
