About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Stantec, a leading consulting firm in the water industry. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering sustainable solutions to ensure water is where it should be and available when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil engineering flood risk management, infrastructure, and facilities designs for large-scale federal and site civil projects.
  • Develop studies, drawings, and narratives for design memoranda, layout, plans, and specifications, and related computations for civil engineering designs.
  • Perform civil engineering design analysis, drawings, and specifications in compliance with sound and economical engineering principles.
  • Attend regular client meetings and respond to questions raised by technical engineering review comments.
  • Serve as Project Engineer for planning and coordinating civil works, infrastructure, and facilities projects from basis of design memorandum through final design, and engineering during construction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, MS preferred.
  • Professional Engineer in California.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in federal (public) planning, design, and construction processes and requirements.
  • Experience in executing complex flood risk management, infrastructure, and management projects with involvement of federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Familiarity with preparing plans and specifications for flood risk management, infrastructure, and facilities projects.
What We Offer

Stantec offers a competitive salary range of $93,400 - $155,100, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid family leave.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year and are eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave.

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

Location

This role is based in California, with opportunities to work on projects throughout the state. We are open to considering candidates who are willing to relocate.
