About the Role:

The Business Office Coordinator will play a vital role in the success of Surgery Partners by providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of the business office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist the Facility Administrator and Clinical Director in achieving business office goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Business Office staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the business office.
  • Lead and motivate the Business Office staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing and coding, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Manage accounts receivable, assigning duties to other administrative staff as needed.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies, forms, and printed materials, reordering as necessary.
  • Work with outside vendors to establish cleaning and maintenance contracts.
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of center information systems, hardware, and software, in coordination with Corporate IT.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for non-clinical equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
  • Attend workshops and seminars to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Participate in the Performance Improvement process and activities, including Safety, Medical Records Maintenance, Patient Satisfaction, Physician Satisfaction, Documentation, Compliance with OSHA Standards, and Risk Management.
  • Maintain a pleasant and professional workplace for employees, surgeons, and their staffs, patients, and their families.
