Our skilled healthcare professionals deliver a broad spectrum of primary and specialized medical care.

As part of CommonSpirit Health's esteemed network, we are committed to excellence in patient care through our hospitals, imaging centers, laboratories, and post-acute services.

Key Responsibilities:

In alignment with our organizational philosophy, the Financial Services Specialist II acts as a key point of contact for patients, offering guidance on insurance policies and procedures.

This role involves assessing insurance alternatives and clinical services to align with patient needs.

The Financial Services Specialist II is tasked with monitoring insurance prerequisites, ensuring precise documentation of completed requirements in patient records, managing pre-authorizations, and facilitating the checkout process, which includes cash collections, deposits, and cash reconciliation.

This position emphasizes the promotion of quality, cost-effective outcomes, managing both financial and clinical care requirements throughout the care continuum by utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.

The Financial Services Specialist II is dedicated to enhancing the patient experience through coordination and advocacy, which includes securing financial clearance, obtaining necessary pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals, as well as identifying eligibility for financial assistance programs.

The Financial Services Specialist II will also oversee pre-authorizations. CommonSpirit Health is devoted to delivering exceptional patient care and service. We aim to cultivate cohesive teams where all employees collaborate effectively. While job descriptions outline primary responsibilities, they do not limit staff from supporting the overall functions of the clinic.

Some positions may require team members to engage in tasks beyond their usual assignments, particularly in smaller facilities or during staff shortages.

This collaborative approach is essential to maintaining a patient-centered focus.
