The Administrative Services Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring seamless coordination of administrative tasks and support staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Support Staff: Hire, train, and direct support staff in business operations, perform performance reviews, and provide guidance and evaluation.
- Administrative Operations: Oversee daily aspects of office functioning, including space allocation, supply chain, phone assignments, and equipment maintenance.
- EMR Training: Teach annual formal classes on the use of EMR to master-level externs and provide ongoing consultation to staff and externs.
- Payroll and Benefits: Monitor payroll for all hourly and administrative employees, check and approve Advocate Works, and manage holiday schedules.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all necessary materials are displayed and staff is knowledgeable about safety tools, participate in hospital committees, and lead accreditation efforts.
- Human Resources: Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, serve as primary liaison to HR Direct, and represent HR compliance at audits and surveys.
- Clinician Management: Assure clinicians' and psychiatrists' license management, supervise timely paneling of BHS staff with insurers, and oversee malpractice insurances.
- Records Keeping: Initiate and supervise PHI files archives, ensure appropriate documentation is stored and archived, and supervise chart keeping.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field, and 2-4 years of healthcare billing experience, or 4-6 years of healthcare billing experience and 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong computer skills, interpersonal and communication skills, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and customer service skills.
Working Conditions:
- Demonstrates commitment to patient-focused care, positive leadership in problem-solving, and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
- May be exposed to patients who potentially could be violent, and must be able to respond to urgent needs for consultation 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
