Position Summary: Responsible for the meticulous management and accuracy of financial documentation for designated funds and accounts. This role involves the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and serves as the principal bookkeeper for assigned Tribal Enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity and precision of financial records.
- Compile and present financial reports regularly to facilitate informed decision-making at various management levels.
- Execute essential entries to finalize month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes in a timely manner.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently.
Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, accompanied by at least six years of relevant accounting experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of property accounting, budgeting, and cost management practices. Proficiency in accounting software and database systems is essential.
This is a full-time position with benefits, offering a competitive salary range based on experience.
Employment Preference: The Tribe adheres to Indian Employment Preference Procedures, prioritizing qualified applicants in the following order: enrolled YPIT Tribal Members, members of other Indian Tribes, and all other qualified candidates.
