The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is on the lookout for a Security Program Liaison to collaborate with the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). This role involves the establishment and execution of a comprehensive security strategy for intricate, significant acquisition initiatives at various Government facilities. The selected candidate will engage in a variety of security functions, including personnel, physical, information, industrial, and communications security, as well as ensuring continuity of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee personnel security measures and protocols.
  • Implement physical security strategies to safeguard assets.
  • Manage information security processes to protect sensitive data.
  • Facilitate industrial security compliance and operations.
  • Ensure effective communication security practices are in place.
  • Support continuity of operations planning and execution.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of pertinent experience in security operations.
  • Active DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Thorough understanding of DoD security frameworks and systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience in managing Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
  • Proven track record in Special Access Program (SAP) security management, including the creation of program identification description (PID) documentation.
  • Familiarity with OSD, DARPA, and/or OUSD(R&E) systems.

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.
