Position Summary:
We are in search of a seasoned fire alarm technician holding NICET certification, skilled in managing all facets of fire alarm systems, and possessing a robust understanding of security cameras, alarms, and access control systems. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.

Compensation Details:
$37 per hour

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time role: 40 hours weekly with limited overtime.
  • Standard hours are generally from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on client requirements.
  • Emergency call-outs may occasionally be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough fire alarm inspections independently, including testing and repairs. Proficiency with Honeywell, Silent Knight, Notifier, and Simplex equipment is crucial.
  • Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing various low voltage systems such as security systems, access control, and CCTV.
  • Willingness to mentor colleagues and oversee fire alarm and low-voltage contractors.
  • Show a strong enthusiasm for working with low-voltage equipment and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Familiarity with standard medium-voltage equipment is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the commercial fire alarm sector is required.
  • Current NICET Fire Alarm System Level II Certification or higher is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to be insured to operate a company vehicle are mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when needed, with minimal overtime.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required due to our work with educational institutions.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role involves approximately 25% outdoor and 75% indoor work, often requiring prolonged periods of standing. Due to the size of our facilities, significant walking and stair climbing will be necessary.
  • Ability to work on lifts, scaffolding, ladders, and in confined spaces.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying at least 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Job duties may include climbing, bending, reaching, standing, walking, and working in noisy environments.
  • Ability to work in smoke-free environments.
