Job Summary

Basesix is seeking a highly skilled Senior Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining low voltage systems in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and update low voltage wiring for access control, CCTV, data, intrusion, and other systems
  • Read project drawings and blueprints to determine scope of work and correct installation
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems already in place
  • Perform inspections to ensure installations are according to code
  • Complete detailed daily and inspection reports, documenting any issues
  • Carry materials weighing 50+ pounds to the project location in either a new construction or occupied building
  • Use power tools to complete installation and repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Six years of work experience with low voltage structured cabling
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written communication
  • Frequent use of stairs, climbing, and descending
  • Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time
  • Valid driver's license
