Job Title: Senior Property Risk Account Engineer

Zurich's property risk engineering team in the Midwest is seeking a highly skilled property risk account engineer with experience in highly protected risk (HPR). This role will primarily involve account engineering responsibilities with potential for periodic field work depending on specialized industry experience. This is a work-from-home/remote role located in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, or Michigan, but we are open to candidates in any parts of the Midwest as well.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess complex risks and assess loss potentials in accordance with agreed definitions.
  • Support external customers by identifying and reducing individual and overall account risks.
  • Provide risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations, and implement risk improvement programs.
  • Share technical expertise with colleagues, business partners, and customers through training delivery or participation in a Centre of Expertise or industry segment.
  • Produce work that complies with Company standards, in terms of technical quality of policies and procedures.
  • Anticipate, recognize, and respond to customer needs by providing expert solutions and training.
  • Contribute to Business Operation Profit through opportunity spotting and cross-selling.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer and business partner relationships and collaborate to develop service plans.
  • Resolve technical issues, problems, and projects in reference to policies and procedures within a specific function or unit.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of experience in property risk engineering, including account engineer role.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in property risk engineering, including account engineer role.
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including Associate's degree and 6 or more years of experience in property risk engineering, including account engineer role.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of exposures controls.
  • Advanced knowledge within industry segment.
  • Knowledge and experience in primary Steel and/or Aluminum industries.
  • Certification in area of specialty; Risk Engineering.
