Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and repair plastic injection mold problems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Build fixtures for production and second operations, utilizing advanced technical skills.
  • Operate various tool room equipment, including grinders, lathes, and mills, with precision and accuracy.
  • Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other gages to ensure precise measurements and quality control.
  • Read and write CAD files, tool drawings, and sketches to communicate effectively with the team.
  • Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and management.
  • Create fixtures as needed for production and second operations, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Tooling Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the Tooling Department.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree or certificate preferred.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding and tooling or manufacturing a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with the team.
  • Moderate experience reading and writing CAD files, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically indoors in a precision machining shop with a moderate to high noise level. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 100lbs when necessary and work in a fast-paced environment.
