Key Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and communication abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of food processing equipment
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Certifications in Internal Auditing, PCQI, HACCP, and SFQ Practitioner are advantageous
- Excellent training and team-building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of incoming raw materials and report any quality discrepancies
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management practices
- Maintain accurate records of all work-in-progress products
- Perform quality checks on production lines, including product and packaging assessments
- Document and manage non-conforming products appropriately
- Participate as a key member of the HACCP team
- Provide training to employees on quality assurance practices
- Stay informed on relevant regulations and ensure compliance
- Oversee the Quality Management Food Safety (QMFS) system
- Communicate food safety procedures to all relevant personnel
- Review monitoring activities to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Track and manage corrective actions for non-conformities
- Collaborate with senior management to refine quality and safety policies
- Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits as required
- Prepare reports summarizing food safety and quality trends for management review
- Address customer complaints with thorough investigations and timely resolutions
- Ensure effective training and compliance documentation for all staff
- Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and food safety auditors
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the quality assurance team.
