Job Summary

Wagner Spray Tech is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate II to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for picking and packing units and/or parts and accessories for shipment, operating various hand-operated equipment, and utilizing computer-based programs to conduct audits of shipments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed.
  2. Train and assist Warehouse Associate I's in their roles.
  3. Perform scheduled issues and picks of requested components/materials, additional parts, reservations, resupply materials, and consolidate and deliver work order materials.
  4. Ensure all orders are accurate prior to packaging for shipment.
  5. Utilize computer-based programs to conduct audits of shipments being packed.
  6. Select proper corrugate and packaging material to maximize safety of the shipment and minimize cost.
  7. Perform data entry into ERP system of finished shipment.
  8. Pick units and/or parts and accessories for shipment to customers by reading a pick document, and being trained to use a hand held RF Gun, or voice technology and validates accuracy of job orders by accessing computer system.
  9. Pick and pack shipments to be processed through small parcel, LTL, and/or TL shipping methods. May consolidate orders with additional shipments as needed and packs and labels according to customer shipping and routing requirements.
  10. Operate hand-operated equipment to fill customer orders.
  11. Receive work direction from department leadership, however, incumbent is responsible for prioritizing his/her own work by sales allocation, date needed to fill and logistics of work order.
  12. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  13. Support Inventory control in conducting daily cycle counts, delegated inventory tasks, and assists in process improvements.
  14. Demonstrate a willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization. Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  15. Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • RF Scanner and SAP Experience a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Average knowledge of and skill using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as to adding, subtracting, and dividing using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use scanners for counting and inventory tracking and control.
  • Ability to listen and be aware of production floor activity to support a safe and hazard free working environment.
  • Ability to be objective and flexible in adapting to changes in priorities, work assignments and other interactions that may impact pre-established courses of action for completing projects and assignments.
  • Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested in order to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Kaizan methods and practices and standard production safety protocol.
