Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of the accounting cycle, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring precision and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate financial data to uncover trends, variances, and areas for enhancement.
  • Oversee and uphold internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist with external audits and tax submissions, guaranteeing timely and precise filings.
  • Remain informed about industry regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management, recommending strategies to reduce costs and boost revenue.
  • Review financial statements for inconsistencies and notify the Controller as needed.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in the development and assessment of budgets and prepare budget reports.
  • Prepare federal, state, local, and specialized tax returns.
  • Contribute to the formulation of new or revised accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work proficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with NetSuite (3 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with Inventory Control (preferred).
