Practical Nurse Specialist

GiaCare is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Practical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team.

Position Overview:
This full-time opportunity is designed for individuals looking to make a significant impact in patient care within a military healthcare environment.

Qualifications Required:
Education:
Must possess a valid certificate from an accredited nursing program recognized by the appropriate State agency and the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).

Experience:
A minimum of one year of hands-on experience as a licensed practical nurse in an outpatient clinical setting is essential, with at least 12 months of practice within the last two years.

Licensure:
Must hold a current, unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification is required.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Separation Health and Physical Examinations (SHPE) in accordance with Department of Defense and Air Force policies.
2. Utilize Microsoft Office applications and become adept with systems such as Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR).
3. Identify urgent or emergent patient care situations, collaborate with registered nurses and other medical professionals, and implement necessary emergency interventions as directed.
