About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HIV Study Coordinator to join our team at LifeLong Medical Care. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing research protocols, recruiting and enrolling participants, and collecting and analyzing data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outreach and engagement services to HIV patients, including those who are homeless or experiencing substance use and mental illness.
  • Enroll patients in focus groups and qualitative interviews, and collect study surveys and data.
  • Manage and report on study results, create and maintain databases and reports, and oversee study data integrity.
  • Coordinate medical care, including scheduling appointments, medication adherence, and referrals to specialty care.
  • Link patients to legal, housing, nutrition, and transportation services, as well as mental health and substance abuse services.
  • Assist patients in navigating medical insurance and enrolling in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP).
  • Enter encounters and units of service into electronic medical records and track patient follow-up and care plan outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health administration, public health, or a relevant field, or 3+ years of experience in healthcare services or non-profit social services.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in direct patient care or research serving LGBTQ+, homeless, BIPOC, and other minority populations.
  • One year of experience in survey research that includes sensitive content, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Access to reliable transportation with current license and insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Prior experience with ARIES, LEO, EPIC, and REDCAP.
  • Experience in case management, street outreach, and/or harm reduction programs.
  • Experience working with people living with HIV.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records.
  • Ability to understand priorities in clinical research.
  • Prior experience working on multisite studies.
  • Knowledge of HIV services in Alameda County.
  • ADAP certification.
