We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Ultrasound Technologist 2 to join our team at the University of Miami Hospital - Cardiovascular Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing complex vascular ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient flow, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler and spectral imaging, to diagnose and monitor vascular diseases.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, flow, and logistics to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in vascular ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program.
- Vascular Ultrasound Certification (RVT or RVS) by ARDMS or CCI.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in vascular ultrasound or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
