Life Enrichment Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at Morningside House Senior Living. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing engaging activities and programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and coordinating resident activities, including outings and events.
  • Encourage resident participation in programs and activities, promoting socialization and community building.
  • Assist with the registration of residents for trips and programs, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Conduct various activities at the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, including arts and crafts, games, and educational programs.
  • Maintain necessary activity supplies, including outside purchasing as needed.
  • Assist in surveying and interviewing residents to determine interests, talents, and resident satisfaction.
  • Maintain general observation of residents and share relevant information with staff.
  • Follow departmental budget guidelines, ensuring responsible financial management.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, equipment preservation, and safe working practices.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
Requirements:

An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
