About the Role: As a key member of our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston Metro Area (BGCBMA), you will oversee the development and implementation of healthy meal programs for our youth. You will lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring that all meals meet high standards of quality, safety, and nutritional value. Your expertise in menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation will be essential in creating engaging and nutritious meals for our members. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the launch and operation of our internal food program, serving 225-250 meals daily during the school year and more in the summer.
  2. Develop and manage menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs while adhering to federal regulations and guidelines.
  3. Maintain accurate records of food purchases, waste, and expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  4. Evaluate and improve kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  5. Collaborate with education staff to integrate cooking and nutrition education into Club activities.


Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field required.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  3. Certification in food safety and sanitation, such as ServSafe, preferred.
  4. Ability to work effectively with children, staff, and community partners.
  5. Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for healthy eating and education.
