Senior Network Systems Engineer, Science and Research Networks

The Lead Network Systems Engineer, Science and Research Networks is a critical role responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of Emory University's research network systems, infrastructure, and architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex research network systems, infrastructure, and architecture to support Emory's research mission.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to less-experienced engineers.
- Collaborate with researchers, department managers, and IT peers to ensure successful adoption and optimization of network services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the reliability and availability of science and research infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and state-of-the-art IT concepts to improve the user experience and make recommendations for system adoptions.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and ten years of relevant IT experience with servers and networks.
- Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to work from home regularly and commute to Emory University location as needed.
