Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System and Network Administrator to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT solutions and infrastructure deployments to enhance resiliency and availability of critical services
  • Build, maintain, and patch systems, as well as make recommendations for new or replacement technologies
  • Troubleshoot various types of IT environments for corporate and program use
  • Harden systems per cyber compliance requirements
  • Perform network administration, including building and deploying new networks, and refining and/or providing troubleshooting expertise to diagnose issues in lab environments
  • Windows and Linux system administration of program and lab related systems
  • Basic network administration, VLAN creation, switch upgrades
  • Coordinate change management requests related to assigned systems or environments
  • System hardening/auditing against industry baselines such as CIS, DISA STIGs, NIST, etc.

Requirements:

  • Professional administrative experience with Windows and Linux systems, enterprise virtualization technologies, and experience hardening systems per NISPOM, RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST, etc.
  • Professional administrative experience with network design/architecture and implementation via administration of routing, switching, and firewalls
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
