Job Summary

At Hispanic Technology Executive Council, we are committed to delivering exceptional services to our clients and communities. We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering services to support the evolution of our Monitoring toolset. This includes implementing and maintaining a scalable and reliable fault and configuration management platform, collaborating with key stakeholders to assess current infrastructure and identify opportunities for optimization and improved system resilience, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.

We are looking for a self-starter with a strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner with others for the good of the initiative. If you have experience in deploying Network Management tools, such as Netcool Omnibus, Netcool Impact, Network Manager, SevONE, Forward Networks in high-availability environments, and a solid understanding of system and networking concepts, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a scalable and reliable fault and configuration management platform
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess current infrastructure and identify opportunities for optimization and improved system resilience
  • Assist with Audit deliverables for Network Toolset
  • Work with vendors to enhance their respective tools to meet new customer/security requirements
  • Develop integrations for the various Network Tools
  • Identify gaps in current systems and processes and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Develop detailed documentation including process flows, use cases, and technical designs
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Networks or System Tools Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of system and networking concepts
  • Experience in deploying Network Management tools, such as Netcool Omnibus, Netcool Impact, Network Manager, SevONE, Forward Networks in high-availability environments
  • Configuration of Network discovery across multi-region environment
  • Functional knowledge of Network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, load balancers etc. Understanding of inter-dependencies of various network components
  • Experience working with networking protocols such as BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN, etc
  • Linux/Unix Server Administration
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related field and or technical training
  • Self-starter, self-directed and shows initiative
  • Focused on execution, delivery, and commitment to dates
  • Skills in Scripting desired; Python, Ansible, Shell, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and Agile Project delivery
  • Sound engineering foundation with network and systems troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Can tie strategy and actions to business impact and results
