Job Summary

The Manager Field Ops is responsible for overseeing all operational functions at a branch, ensuring the best efficiencies and quality of customer care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight of dispatcher/routers, service technicians, pick up & delivery drivers, yard personnel, fence crew(s), and shop
  • Review of all paperwork, including manifests, routing tickets, DVIRs, etc., for completion and accuracy
  • Monitoring service levels and deliveries to recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care
  • Collaboration with other departments to ensure excellent/positive communication within the region
  • Resolution of customer service & delivery issues, working with Operations Managers at other branches to coordinate asset transfers
  • Maintenance of proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs
  • Analysis and reporting on operational activities, including service levels, routing efficiency, labor & overtime, and fuel
  • Development and implementation of standard practices and efficiency recommendations with the Regional Vice President
  • Fleet DOT administration, including log books & record maintenance
  • Review and approval of e-time punches, time off request forms, and scheduling time off based on operational necessity
  • Administration of the company's safety program at the branch, working with Safety & HR departments to coordinate training
  • Employee development and conducting periodic performance reviews
  • Creation and maintenance of a positive, safe, and effective work environment
  • Operation of a variety of company vehicles and pulling trailers with company vehicles
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 Year / Associates Degree from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training
  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience leading a diverse team to accomplish results

  • Valid Driver License (Class C)
  • Experience with multi-stop routing system and dispatch procedures
  • Computer knowledge (Navision, Microsoft Office and routing/logistics software)

  • Knowledge of financial statements
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Knowledge of all company assets in inventory
Physical Requirements
  • Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
  • Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.

Salary Range

$75,000.00 – $85,000.00 / year
