Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. This role plays a vital part in ensuring patients receive exceptional care through precise and accurate mammography procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality mammography radiographic exams, adhering to strict radiation safety protocols.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
  • Administer contrast when necessary and select appropriate imaging techniques to ensure technical quality of images.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate records.
  • Conduct quality assurance on mammography equipment and maintain accreditation standards.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to management.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or approved program of mammography technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) required.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
