Position Overview: This recruitment is exclusively for Lateral applicants and remains open until filled. The role encompasses a variety of operational and support responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting routine and directed patrols
  • Investigating criminal and non-criminal incidents
  • Implementing crime prevention strategies
  • Enforcing traffic regulations

Officers may be assigned to various divisions within the department, performing essential duties such as:

  • Responding to emergency calls and routine service requests
  • Upholding laws and regulations with integrity and professionalism
  • Engaging with the community to foster positive relationships

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling designated areas to ensure public safety
  • Applying laws and policies impartially and effectively
  • Conducting investigations and preparing detailed reports
  • Providing assistance and education to the public on safety and legal matters

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with further education being advantageous. A valid California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Basic Certificate is required, along with a clean record of employment with a law enforcement agency.
